Head of Finance / Senior Finance Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Manager to support the financial operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various financial tasks, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and supporting overall financial health. This role is vital in maintaining efficient financial operations and contributing to the organization’s financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle accounts receivable, accounts payable, journal entries, and the general ledger. Conduct reconciliation and prepare monthly financial reports within deadlines.
• Prepare receivables aging reports and monitor debtors’ collections to ensure timely payments.
• Monitor daily financial transactions, including bank book management, and assist with month-end closing activities.
• Manage invoicing and tracking of account receivables, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
• Oversee petty cash management and ensure proper handling of company funds.
• Maintain proper record-keeping systems and filing processes for all financial documentation.
• Liaise with auditors and tax agents to prepare audit schedules and tax filings.
• Assist with financial reporting, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support business decisions.
• Support cash flow management, treasury operations, and working capital optimization.
• Identify and suggest improvements for financial processes to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related fields.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with financial principles, accounting standards, and tax regulations.
• Technology Skills: Proficient in SQL Accounting software. Strong Excel skills are essential.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse financial data and generate relevant insights.
• Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
• Communication: Good communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information clearly.
• Time Management: Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
