Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Manager to lead our SAP team and drive the strategic direction of SAP initiatives across the organization. As the Head of the SAP Team, you will be responsible for overseeing all SAP operations, ensuring alignment with business goals, and leading large-scale SAP projects, particularly within a manufacturing environment. This role demands strong leadership, extensive SAP expertise, and the ability to influence and guide senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the overall SAP strategy in alignment with the organization’s business objectives. Provide leadership and direction to the SAP team, ensuring that all SAP initiatives support the company’s goals.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing SAP team, including managers, developers, and consultants. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of all SAP projects, including implementations, upgrades, and integrations. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget, while meeting quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with senior management and key stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into SAP solutions. Provide expert advice and guidance on SAP-related decisions.
  • Business Process Optimization: Drive the optimization of business processes through the effective use of SAP systems. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency, particularly in manufacturing.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Manage the SAP budget, including resource allocation, cost management, and financial reporting. Ensure efficient use of resources to achieve maximum value.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with SAP systems and projects. Implement robust risk management frameworks to ensure the stability and security of SAP operations.
  • Vendor & Contract Management: Oversee relationships with SAP vendors and external consultants. Negotiate contracts, manage service levels, and ensure the quality and value of third-party services.
  • Change Management: Lead organizational change initiatives related to SAP, including user adoption, training, and communication. Ensure smooth transitions during system upgrades and process changes.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay informed of the latest SAP technologies, trends, and best practices. Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to keep the organization at the forefront of SAP capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: At least Bachelor’s degree & above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or an equivalent qualification with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 or second class upper.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in SAP management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
    • Drive and oversee the comprehensive transformation of SAP systems from traditional on-premise solutions to the advanced RISE with SAP cloud platform, ensuring a seamless transition and maximizing business value through enhanced capabilities and innovative technologies.
    • Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale SAP projects, including experience in SAP S/4HANA and ECC.
    • Strong experience in a manufacturing environment, with a deep understanding of industry-specific SAP modules and processes.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Extensive knowledge of SAP modules such as MM, SD, FI/CO, PP, and HCM.
    • Proficiency in SAP project management methodologies and tools.
    • Strong understanding of SAP integration with other enterprise systems and technologies.
    • Experience with SAP development and customization, including ABAP, Fiori, and SAP Solution Manager.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to align SAP initiatives with broader business goals.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage with senior executives and stakeholders.
