Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage the designated shift team to ensure the effective operation, maintenance, and repair of critical environment systems, aiming for 100% uptime of all power systems.
- Work Order Management: Prioritize and assign planned and unplanned work orders to Data Center Specialists to maintain 100% compliance each month.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all quality, health, safety, and environmental policies within the area of responsibility.
- Maintenance Coordination: Oversee ongoing maintenance activities within the Data Centre and collaborate with the Critical Maintenance Manager to prioritize tasks.
- Subcontractor Management: Ensure all subcontractors are properly inducted and permitted before work begins, and review their method statements, risk assessments, and MSDS for compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitoring and Response: Ensure that the Facility Operations Center (FOC) is staffed at all times and that alarms from EPMS, BMS, and fire systems are addressed promptly.
- Preventive Maintenance (PM): Ensure completion of all scheduled PMs by your shift team to achieve 100% compliance, and record all activities on the CAFM system.
- Daily Reporting: Provide a detailed Shift Handover report via email that outlines activities and issues needing escalation, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution.
- PPE Compliance: Always wear provided company clothing and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- KPI Achievement: Drive your team to meet or exceed scores on the team KPI Scorecard as tracked on CAFM.
- Procedure Development: Contribute to the creation and updating of site-specific procedures, including emergency and operational plans.
- Emergency Preparedness: Familiarize yourself with the site Emergency Response Plan and collaborate with the SOC/FOC during emergencies.
- Safety Reporting: Promptly report any health and safety violations or concerns to management.
- Drill Participation: Complete at least four drills each month.
- Supervision of Contractors: Monitor the work of third-party engineers and subcontractors to ensure compliance with site standards.
- Relationship Building: Foster positive relationships with all company’ staff and customer representatives.
- Toolbox Talks: Conduct Toolbox talks during each shift rotation to meet or exceed monthly targets, ensuring documentation is signed off.
- Professional Image: Maintain a professional appearance for company when interacting with clients and visitors on site.
- Documentation Compliance: Follow company’ quality, health, safety, and environmental policies and documentation requirements.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as directed by local management.
- Flexibility: Be prepared to cover shifts during emergencies or absences as needed, adapting to the business's operational demands.

- 5-10 years of experience in a Data Centre environment, preferably in management roles.
- Strong understanding of the data centre industry, including development and management.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficient communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malay.
- Strong project planning, change management, and time management skills.
- Sound judgement and decision-making capabilities.
- Strong organizational and supervisory skills.
- Competence in using computer applications effectively.
