- Conduct regular inspections and audits during the food production process to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Monitor and verify that raw materials, ingredients, and finished products meet quality requirements.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures according to industry standards and company policies.
- Test and sample products for sensory, microbiological, chemical, and physical analysis.
- Document and maintain detailed records of QC processes, production, and inspection reports.
- Collaborate with production staff to identify and resolve quality issues and non-conformances.
- Ensure that all products comply with Malaysian food safety regulations (e.g., Halal certification, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), Food Act 1983).
- Provide recommendations for corrective actions in cases of quality deviations or non-conformities.
- Assist in the investigation of customer complaints regarding product quality.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, safety, and production efficiency.
- Ensure all QC equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
- Diploma or degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Language required: English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in food manufacturing, preferably in quality control.
- In-depth knowledge of Malaysian food safety standards, including HACCP, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and FSSC 22000.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to ensuring product safety and quality.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in using QC tools and software.
- Experience working with Halal-certified products.
- Familiarity with automated quality control systems.
