Objective:

Support the company’s mission of becoming the leading total safety solution provider by mastering the technical aspects of all company products, with a specific focus on delivering comprehensive training related to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Become a specialist in Work At Height safety, providing expert recommendations and solutions during site visits. Additionally, provide technical support on equipment as needed, ensuring the highest standards of safety and performance.

Major Responsibilities:

Work At Height Specialist

  • Undergo specialized training to become a Work At Height Specialist and actively participate in site visits to recommend tailored height safety solutions.
  • Provide expert guidance to clients on safe work practices at height, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Come up with design proposal, 3D and 2D drawing when required.
  • Collaborate with the sales team during site visits to assess client needs and propose effective training solutions.
  • Ensure all training and recommendations are aligned with company safety objectives and product capabilities.
  • Note: Applicants should be comfortable working at heights. Knowledge of AutoCAD (or other CAD and 3D software) is highly desirable for preparing site-specific safety plans and solutions.

Technical Training & Support to Sales Team

  • Deliver in-depth technical training to the sales team, ensuring they are well-equipped to address client needs and effectively promote our products.
  • Regularly communicate with the sales teams across all branches to assess and address customers' training needs.
  • Maintain, update, and standardize training materials by collaborating with Product Managers and suppliers to acquire the latest technical data, materials, and samples.
  • Tailor training content to address specific safety hazards across different industries, ensuring that the sales team can offer relevant and effective solutions to clients.
  • Conduct internal training sessions for staff on new products to ensure they can confidently address customer inquiries and recommend optimal solutions.

Technical Support on Equipment

  • Provide troubleshooting support for equipment, ensuring proper operation and functionality.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and updates for all equipment, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Organize and oversee demonstrations or trial installations of equipment for customers, providing hands-on support and technical expertise.
  • Perform equipment testing and calibration following manufacturer guidelines, using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Serve as a technical resource for both the sales team and customers, offering backup support and conducting technical tasks such as calibration, customer training, and internal training planning.
  • Supervise and inspect the installation of equipment where necessary, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety standards.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation to support product use and maintenance.

Client Support and Engagement

  • Assist the sales team in technical presentations and demonstrations to clients, showcasing the practical benefits and applications of our solutions.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their unique challenges and provide tailored technical support that addresses their specific needs.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor on technical and safety-related matters.

Continuous Improvement

  • Regularly review and update training content to ensure it remains relevant and impactful.
  • Gather feedback from the sales team and clients to identify areas for improvement in training and support services.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and advancements, continuously enhancing your technical and safety expertise.

Key Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a technical, science, or engineering field.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Experience: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong self-motivation and initiative.
  • Presentation Skills: Comfortable presenting to large groups with excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive Mindset: Strong analytical skills, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Professionalism: Exhibits a professional demeanor and can effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Key Skills Needed : Knowledge of CAD and 3D software such as SketchUp, Ability to troubleshoot and identify problems related to products. Familiarity with building structure is a plus.
  • Work At Height: Must be comfortable working at heights; knowledge of AutoCAD (or other equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in construction-related activities is a plus.
