Main Responsibilities and Authority

  • Function as the engineering leader of the plant on equipment maintenance, test system maintenance, software engineering support. Understand the P/L impact on the business that result from overall engineering performance.
  • Implement equipment operating budget and plan.
  • Be a key contributor to the factory management staff; involvement in other functional areas is a must. Capitalizing on improvement opportunities outside of engineering is an important factor to improve the future of the business. Direct the analysis and preparation of all capital projects making sure the financial documents are accurate and justifiable. Forecast capital needs and forward rolling basis.
  • General management of the test system hardware and software installation and daily technology .
  • General management in designing, selecting, installing and maintaining the equipment, and other facilities in manufacture process. Make solution for daily production equipment engineering issues. Sets Engineering Development Cycle Time improvement goals & metrics. Drive continuous improvement of company production engineering issues.
  • Lead, manage, update and develop engineering procedures in order to provide working guidelines and direction for the engineering team members.
  • Ensure mature and robust processes in Timeliness in Production, Lead team to identity the process improvement opportunity and organize resource to accomplish the target.
  • Identifying areas of cost savings and allocate resources in order to drive a smooth maintenance of machine and test system.
  • Assess and manage technical risks.
  • Maintains staffing levels to assure sufficient capacity to rapidly changing demand.
  • Develop and control intellectual property.
  • Ensure implementation, adherence and participation to Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) procedures by applying to areas of responsibility.
    Continuously contribute, develop and implement ideas that improve performance.
  • Approve department procedure; Approve department KPI; Approve ECO/RCO, and etc.;
  • Other tasks assigned by the superior.

The Person

  • Above 7 years related experience in Equipment and Test Engineering.
    Good communication skill, can liaise with R&D, GOP management, and Manufacturing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
  • Can analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
  • Can coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
  • Team leader skills: can recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
