ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

We are looking for a highly experienced SEO Manager with a strong background in FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) and E-commerce industries. As the SEO Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective SEO strategies to increase organic search visibility, drive website traffic, and improve online presence.

Additionally, you will oversee a team of SEO specialists and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of SEO best practices, a proven track record of success in FMCG/E-commerce, and strong leadership skills.

    Geographic Scope: Malaysia, New Zealand, Indonesia

    WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

    Develop and execute SEO strategies:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with business goals, considering FMCG and Ecommerce industry dynamics.
    • Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and website audits to identify opportunities for optimization.
    • Optimize website content, meta tags, and other on-page elements to improve organic search rankings.
    • Stay updated with search engine algorithm changes and industry trends to adapt SEO strategies accordingly.

    Team management and leadership:

    • Manage and mentor a team of SEO specialists, providing guidance, support, and ongoing training.
    • Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure timely execution of SEO initiatives.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional growth.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and identify opportunities for skill development and improvement.

    Technical SEO optimization:

    • Collaborate with web developers and IT teams to implement technical SEO best practices, including site speed optimization, URL structure, XML sitemaps, and schema markup.
    • Conduct regular website audits to identify and resolve technical SEO issues.
    • Stay informed about emerging SEO technologies and tools to leverage opportunities for improvement.
    • Content optimization and strategy:
    • Collaborate with content creators and marketing teams to develop SEO-friendly content strategies.
    • Conduct keyword research to identify target keywords and optimize content accordingly.
    • Ensure content aligns with SEO guidelines, including meta tags, headers, internal linking, and keyword density.
    • Monitor content performance and provide recommendations for content optimization.
    • Performance monitoring and reporting:
    • Monitor and analyze key SEO performance indicators, such as organic traffic, keyword rankings, and backlink profile.
    • Utilize SEO tools and web analytics platforms to generate reports and provide actionable insights.
    • Identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, and develop strategies to drive continuous optimization.
    • Collaborative cross-functional partnerships:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, development, and product, to align SEO efforts with overall business objectives.
    • Provide SEO insights and recommendations to inform website design, UX improvements, and content creation.
    • Collaborate with digital marketing teams to align SEO strategies with broader marketing initiatives, such as paid search and social media campaigns.

    Key success factors include:

    • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
    • Deliver SEO KPIs for the markets
    • Ensuring 100% compliance on SEO Activities

    ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

    Experience Required

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field (preferred).
    • 6 -7 years of experience in SEO, with a focus on FMCG and E-commerce industries.
    • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful SEO strategies that drive organic traffic and improve search rankings.
    • Deep understanding of SEO best practices, keyword research, on-page optimization, technical SEO, and backlink analysis.
    • Strong working knowledge of SEO tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Moz, etc.).
    • Experience managing and leading a team of SEO specialists.
    • Familiarity with FMCG and E-commerce industry trends, customer behaviour, and competitive landscape.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
    • Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Up to date with the latest SEO and developments in digital marketing.
    • Language proficiency in both English and Bahasa is necessary; proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
