INSPECTOR OF WORKS (IOW)

1. SCOPE OF WORK

• Performing site supervision and coordination to ensure that the works carried out by the Contractors are within quality standards and correcting specifications.
• To check, monitor, inspect, perform quality control checks, and monitor work in progress and final inspection of completed works.
• Reporting on non-conforming matters found during inspection to RE and follow up with the Contractor on the action to be taken.
• Coordinate and supervise if there is any deviation from the original design with Ofnir’s design team in KL.
• To identify all outstanding works and problems encountered on site proposed mitigation immediate solution.
• Act as the client’s representative on the construction site providing technical expertise, quality control and assurance and ensuring the contractor adheres to the contract documents, specifications and drawing.
• Manage VO to the original scope and issue instructions for changes, including supervising the issuance of endorsed of any markup and in situ verification and ensure all VO are supported with adequate documents and drawings
• Site investigations and preparation: Participate in site surveys and ensure the construction area is prepared as per plans (eg. proper access, utilities)
• Review and approve contractor’s submissions; evaluate work schedules, method statements and material proposals for compliance with standards and potential risks
• Assist in resolving disputes between contractors and the client regarding variations delays or non-conformances.
• To submit daily progress report to the client with regards to daily progress that covers areas of concern and propose solution
• To assist to providing coordination and supervision on every catchup plan that contractor has provided and to assist to monitor quality assurance are within the acceptance limit during catch up plan
• scope of work is limited to the construction of the pipe-rack only between the plant and the jetty.
• EXPERIENCE IN CIVIL AND STEEL STRUCTURES

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 8-10 months

Pay: RM7,500.00 - RM8,000.00 per month

Schedule:

• Fixed shift

Supplemental Pay:

• Overtime pay
