As a People & Communications Generalist, you will support local people and communication operations within Malaysia. You’ll work closely with teams to ensure smooth operations, from onboarding to payroll, while supporting our company-wide initiatives in culture, diversity, and employee engagement.

What will you be doing?

As a People & Communications Generalist, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting local HR and communication operations to ensure smooth, efficient processes across the board. Here's what your day-to-day might look like:

  • Guide and Support: Provide expert advice to line managers and employees on how to use the People & Communications operating model, ensuring self-service options and available resources are utilized effectively.

  • Onboarding Excellence: Manage a seamless onboarding experience for new hires, aligning with global processes. You'll keep materials updated, organize induction sessions, and analyze feedback to continuously improve the process.

  • Smooth Offboarding: Oversee offboarding procedures, from organizing exit interviews to completing necessary processes, ensuring a respectful and efficient transition for departing employees.

  • Champion Culture & Well-being: Actively contribute to initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture, driving diversity, equity, inclusion, and employee well-being activities.

  • Benefits & Relocation: Administer local benefits and support relocation efforts for international hires, coordinating with providers such as Graebel, Crown, and CIDB to make transitions as smooth as possible.

  • HR Operations: Handle employment-related tasks like time and attendance tracking, payroll preparation, and document coordination, ensuring everything is completed accurately and on time.

  • Data & Systems Management: Help maintain organizational data by preparing uploads and promoting the use of Workday reports and dashboards. You’ll also review and approve Workday tasks to keep everything running smoothly.

  • Annual HR Cycles: Collaborate with the People & Communications Center of Expertise to support the execution of key annual processes, such as leadership and talent reviews, by assisting with translations, training, and communication.

  • Engagement Surveys: Assist in launching engagement surveys, analyzing results, leading team discussions, and helping plan and implement action steps for continuous improvement.

  • Payroll Coordination: Consolidate and prepare monthly payroll submissions, ensuring everything is accurate and working closely with vendors for smooth processing.

Are you the one?

  • Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 3 years of working experience in a People & Communications or HR-related role.

  • You have a good understanding of local labor laws and People & Communications practices.

  • You are detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • You possess excellent communication skills and can work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience with HR systems such as Workday is a plus.

  • You are enthusiastic about people development and have a passion for building an inclusive workplace.
