Head of Retail Expansion and Project Management - SEA

Overview:

As the Head of Retail Expansion and Project Management for a [Global Retail Brand], you will be responsible for driving the strategic expansion of the brand's retail footprint across the Southeast Asian market. You will oversee all aspects of project management, from site selection and acquisition to store development and opening. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring that the brand's retail presence aligns with its overall business strategy and delivers exceptional customer experiences.

Role will be based in Malaysia - open to foreign talent looking to relocate.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Expansion Planning:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive retail expansion strategy for the Southeast Asian market, aligned with the brand's overall business goals.
  • Identify key target markets and analyze market trends to determine optimal locations for new stores.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and financial analyses to assess the profitability and potential return on investment for new store openings.

Site Selection and Acquisition:

  • Lead the site selection process, identifying suitable properties and negotiating favorable lease terms.

Store Development and Project Management:

  • Manage the entire store development process, from design and planning to construction and fit-out.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, and contractors to ensure that stores adhere to brand standards and local regulations.
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and quality control to deliver projects on time and within budget.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  1. 15 years of experience in Store Design, Retail Fit-Out, Retail Expansion, Retail Project Management role
  2. Regional Exposure with People Management experience across multiple ongoing projects
