Control Manager

About the role Join Bata (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd as a full-time Control Manager based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial control processes and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. What you'll be doing - Developing excellent working relationships with all departments and managers of the company. - Monthly Reporting, Forecast and Analysis - Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and P&L, - Yearly Budget – ensure data are collected and consolidated correctly and on time. - Documenting finance closing procedures and risk, control matrix for all areas. - Proactively ensuring controls are operating effectively throughout the company. - Responsible for all matters on treasury, including payments and forecasts. - Ensuring compliance with the company and head office finance and accounting requirements. - Perform other ad-hoc assignments as required by management and/or head office - Ensuring timely completion of annual audits and annual corporate submission. - Ensuring all government filings and compliances are in place. - Ensure all controls are performed on a timely basis with a particular focus on Financial - - Statement Close Process (FSCP), fixed assets, stock movements and cash - Oversee budget process and ensure compliance with HQ budget directives. - Confidential Payroll Journals and reconciliation of payroll to reported personnel cost. - Maintain strong record keeping culture including written procedures. - Review and suggest improvements to the existing control framework. - To give analysis and commercial advice to retail and real estate department. - Manage all the financial and accounting activities for the Retail division including expenses management, the annual budget process, forecasting and the month-end close. What we're looking for - A minimum of 10 years of experience, including roles within multinational, retail, or FMCG finance departments. - Diploma, Degree, or Professional Certification such as MIA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent. - Strong knowledge of US GAAP or large multinational company accounting, as well as Malaysian tax and reporting requirements. - Proficient in English.
