Role Description</p>

An Assistant Finance Manager works to help oversee and manage the financial activities and budgeting operations of an organisation. Daily tasks often involve managing invoices, conducting financial analysis, reviewing and implementing financial policies, and preparing annual budget reports. They also aid in the development and execution of growth strategies from a financial perspective, and collaborate with other department heads, providing financial insights and guidance.

  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and reporting variances.
  • Performing financial modelling and analysis to support strategic initiatives.
  • Assisting in the coordination and preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Collaborating with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Participating in preparation for annual audits.
  • Helping to develop and manage financial systems and policies, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Supporting the Head of Division by contributing to, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and reporting variances.

Strong background and experience with audit methodologies and techniques prior success conducting external or internal audits

Qualifications

  • Financial Reporting, Budget Management, and Financial Analysis skills
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Professional certificate is a plus e.g MIA, ACCA, CPA
