Tasks & responsibilities

• Overseeing the whole QA activities and quality related matters.
• Guide QA members in performing daily jobs especially on quality control aspect.
• Responsible for ISO QMS & EMS compliance.
• Raise quality problems to the respective party and ensure corrective action taken.
• Follow-up on corrective action implementation and ensure effectiveness.
• Analyze daily QA reports and compile into useful statistical charts or diagrams.
• To liaise with customers on customer complaint.
• Responsible for establishing all test and inspection procedures such as Incoming, In-process and Final Inspection Procedure.
• Ensuring that the inspection and test method is carried out and is effective in detective products.
• Ensure that all corrective and preventive action taken is effective or to a level that commensurate with the risks encountered.
• Ensure that all quality records are kept and maintain for future reference purposes.
• Responsible to conduct basic quality control training to the QA and Production Personnel.
• Environmental Roles and Responsibilities : Knowledge on basic environment issue; Aware the importance of conformance to Environmental Policy and procedures, and to the requirements of the EMS; Aware production and testing activities bring to the environmental aspect and impacts; Knowledge on chemical handling and waste management; Follow Environmental rules and regulation; Comply with all applicable Environmental legal and other requirements; Report any accident and incident cases that occurred; Save energy and natural resources consumption; Follow ERP strictly during emergency; Wear the proper PPE when carry out inspection.
• Others task as assigned by superior.

Qualifications & experience

• Possess at least a Diploma or Degree in any related field or equivalent.
• At least 5 years relevant working experiences, preferably in the steel industry.
• Possess application knowledge of QC tools.
• Experience in establishing quality control plan, standard operating procedure and work instruction.
• Preferably specializing in Quality Control or Quality Assurance or Inspection or equivalent.
• Good verbal and written communication in English, Bahasa Malaysia.
• Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office application.
• Well understand and hands on ISO 9001 quality management system and processes.
• Capable to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Strong planning, problem solving skills, aggressive, good team player and self-starter.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From RM6,500.00 per month
