Position Overview:

The Procurement Manager will oversee all aspects of procurement for high-rise construction projects, ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, services, and equipment. The role requires strong negotiation skills, vendor management expertise, and a deep understanding of procurement strategies tailored to the construction industry. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to ensure the seamless execution of procurement activities while adhering to project budgets and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored to high-rise construction projects.
  • Manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for the construction of high-rise buildings.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to negotiate the best terms for quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and services.
  • Review and evaluate supplier bids and proposals, ensuring alignment with project specifications and budgets.
  • Collaborate with project teams to forecast material needs and ensure timely procurement to avoid project delays.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and contractual obligations throughout the procurement process.
  • Manage supplier performance, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
  • Monitor and report on procurement KPIs, cost savings, and budget performance.
  • Continuously improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee the preparation and management of procurement contracts and agreements.
  • Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement within the construction industry, with a focus on high-rise projects.
    • Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and subcontractor procurement processes.
    • Proven experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
    • Familiarity with procurement software and systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
    • Knowledge of construction regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
