ROLE PURPOSE

  • Lead, drive, and administer CCOB’s risk management strategies, compliance strategies as well as governance frameworks and policies to foster a culture of compliance and ethical conduct towards the achievement of institutional integrity

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Strategise, design, and oversee the risk management strategy, compliance strategies and governance frameworks and policies to ensure CCOB remains an ethical institution with integrity.
  • Cultivate engagements with internal stakeholders to facilitate the advisory, guidance, and influencing on matters pertaining to compliance with internal governance standards, policies, and procedures to ensure CCOB’s staff remain compliant.
  • Foster and maintain strategic partnerships with appropriate external stakeholders including government bodies such as MOF, MACC, and IIM to safeguard CCOB’s interests.
  • Proactively identify any changes to all local and international governance and compliance frameworks and standards to safeguard CCOB’s compliance to all regulations and laws.
  • Serve as the expert advisory to CCOB’s Management in all matters of Governance, Risk, and Compliance to enhance the decision making of CCOB’s Management and safeguard CCOB’s interests.
  • Continuously keeps abreast of trends and developments within the Governance, Risk, and Compliance environment to ensure continued best practices.
  • Establish clear and consistent management practices across the function by fostering an environment of collaboration, efficiency, and synergy to ensure the team operates effectively and cohesively.
  • Identify areas for team members’ learning and development, considering the competency framework and consumer credit ecosystem needs and changes, to meet job expectations and build organisational capacity.

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics or any related field.
  • Preferably more than 10 years of experience in similar sized organisation and/or industry.
