Entry Requirements:

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Food Science, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Master’s Degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.

Job Related Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in production planning within the food or manufacturing industry with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience managing demand planning and inventory is a plus.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MPS (Master Production Scheduling) is essential.

Required Skills (Must-Have):

  • In-depth knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP.
  • Strong analytical skills for data analysis and demand forecasting.
  • Time management skills and the ability to solve problems in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience using production planning software and ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.

Desired Skills (Good to Have):

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills to liaise with other departments such as Production, Procurement, and Sales.

Job Scope:

  • Production Planning:
  • Responsible for scheduling production to ensure production requirements are met while maintaining a balance between demand and production capacity.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Monitor and manage raw materials and finished goods inventory to ensure continuous production flow, avoiding shortages or overstocking.
  • Data Analysis & Forecasting:
  • Utilize historical data and demand forecasts to predict production needs, collaborating with the Sales and Marketing teams for demand planning.
  • Problem Solving:
  • Address issues related to production delays, material shortages, or shifts in demand while ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Cross-department Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure smooth processes and optimize workflows.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Analyze and assess planning processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs, while implementing steps to enhance production flow.
  • Reporting & Communication:
  • Prepare regular reports on production status, factory performance, and future forecasts for senior management.
