Job Responsibilities

Account job scope:

  • Handling full set accounts for companies
  • Ability to prepare income statements, balance sheets, monthly financial statements, and audit schedule
  • Responsible for Account Receivable (AR) function and not limited to billing, collections, debtors’ analysis, and other AR-related tasks
  • Generate monthly Statements of Account (SOA) from the accounting system to customers
  • Responsible for Account Payable (AP) function and not limited to invoicing, payment, creditors’ analysis, and other AP-related tasks
  • To liaise with external parties such as auditors, tax agents, bankers, lawyers & government statutory
  • Support external and internal audits
  • Responsible for ad-hoc sensitive or analytical analysis, reporting to facilitate the Management on their decision making
  • Monitor and verify the daily operating matter on the compliance of the Company’s internal control and procedure and accounting policy
  • Responsible/assist to coordinate and prepare the financial budget/projection
  • Responsible for maintaining and advising on all corporate information and submission to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Assist in search of information and financial analysis on any business development matters
  • Coordinate and prepare reports for periodic meetings

Purchasing job scope:

  • Prepare documents (like invoices, purchase orders, etc.)
  • Maintain updated records of orders, suppliers, and customers
  • Provide information to customers about the status of their orders
  • Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt
  • Contact supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified
  • Inspects contents to ensure they are undamaged
  • Verify packages according to order invoices (quality, quantity, price, etc.)
  • Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements – warranty
  • Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
  • Ensure invoices are signed and paid for satisfactory deliveries
  • Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery
  • Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
  • Overseeing and supervising employees and all activities of the purchasing department

Job Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Accountancy, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a similar field preferred
  • Have in depth knowledge of local accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as dexterity in “reading” the market
  • Experience in industry procedures, costs, and terms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Good analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Supervisory and management experience
  • Attention to detail
  • 1-2 years of experience in the field related
  • Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin is an advantage as need to liaise with Mandarin Speaking customers
