Own It:

• Oversee the implementation of the group’s accounting processes and strong internal controls to ensure governance over accounting and reporting activities.
• Manage and prepare accuracy company’s financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow) for timely submission.
• Lead the periodical closing of the company accounts by ensuring all revenue and expenses incurred during the accounting period is taken up in the Income Statement especially the accruals and provision completeness
• Ensure the Fixed Assets Register accuracy, correctness and completeness by ensuring all assets owned and newly acquired are recorded correctly, identified and reconciled to the Fixed Asset Register.
• Manage on projects/initiatives and implementation of MFRS accounting standard (existing and new developments), regulatory reporting exercise, process improvements, simplifications, standardization, and automation.
• Supporting in both internal and external audit by providing documentation, explanation and analysis as required.
• Managing back up plan and business continuity for the team.

• Identify opportunities for operational improvement, time saving and process enhancement.

• Manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships to drive timely/ quality financial reporting and keep up to date on finance matters.
• Collaborate with other departments to obtain information for management reporting purpose and coordinate with other stakeholders to ensure monthly and quarterly management reporting materials are completed and checked.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting with/ Professional Accounting Qualification
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Finance, Audit, Compliance, or general reporting exposure.
• Expert in preparing and maintaining full set of accounts and financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
• Proven experience with ERP system such SAP or Oracles will be added advantage.
• Demonstrate knowledge and application of local/international accounting standards, principals and practices.
• Tactical and process-oriented problem solving.
• Experience in leading team members, set direction and cascade goals to ensure goals are well defined and clearly communicated.
• Good interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams.
