JOB SUMMARY

This role reporting to the Security and Safety Section and leading the Security Operations Unit, involves supervising and enhancing security operations for EPF buildings and branches nationwide. Responsibilities include overseeing security contracts, ensuring compliance and training for personnel, and managing physical security control operations while monitoring private security companies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and monitor the security operations of EPF buildings/branches staffed by EPF Auxiliary Police and private security guards.
  • Analyze security control operations at EPF’s security units nationwide and propose improvements to enhance the effectiveness of controls.
  • Collect information and analyze the crime situation on the EPF’s premises to assess the level of security and recommend enhanced security control processes.
  • Conduct physical safety inspections of EPF buildings/branches to assess weaknesses that need to be improved.
  • Establish a network with the PDRM to ensure that security information is always up-to-date and maintain a high level of security.
  • Ensure that EPF Auxiliary Police personnel and EPF security personnel nationwide undergo appropriate and adequate training every year to constantly improve their competency levels.
  • Ensure adherence to Arahan Keselamatan Malaysia, particularly involving physical safety.
  • Manage the appointment of private security control companies for security control services and Cash In Transit (CIT) services through the prescribed procurement method.
  • Regulate the performance of private security control companies for security control services and CIT services through performance evaluation reports (service level agreement-SLA).
  • Prepare monthly contract performance reports and process payments for security control and CIT services according to the finalized contract.
  • Propose to management the actions that need to be taken against private security control companies that have failed to provide satisfactory service.
  • Prepare proposals for the annual budget allocation for building security control contracts throughout Malaysia.
  • Oversee the annual budget allocation, ensuring efficient use of funds and cost savings on operational expenses such as overtime claims. Additionally, manage the procurement of equipment and uniforms for Auxiliary Police and security personnel across Malaysia
  • Update the Safety Work Instructions for the enforcement and operation needs of building/branch KWSP security control.
  • Ensure the implementation of the self-audit program in the Occupational Safety & Health Section.
  • Well-versed in the latest security technologies and systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems, ensuring they are properly installed, maintained, and utilized.
  • Carry out tasks assigned by Management from time to time.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Malaysian citizen.
  • Pass Malay Language including oral test at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level.
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in any related field recognized by the Government from any local or abroad higher learning institution.
  • Must have at least 10 years of experience in security operations, proficiently supervising an Auxiliary Police officer and a private security guard.
  • Possess experience in a uniformed role, such as police, military, or other security forces, including maintaining public order, enforcing laws, protecting property, and ensuring safety, will be an added advantage.
  • Understand security protocols, emergency response procedures, and be able to operate in a structured, disciplined environment.
