What is the opportunity?
At the heart of the brand investment Group lies our forward-thinking and progressive team, diligently operating in the Training Academy department. With a deep commitment to excellence, we strive to enhance the efficiency and success of our projects through robust project delivery methodology. This statement underscores the importance of meticulous planning and execution within the project management department, ensuring that projects are completed based on the planned project timeline, within budget, and to the highest standards. As a Project Manager of the Group, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of projects that align with our Group’s goals and objectives. You will utilize various project management methods and techniques to ensure successful project delivery. You will also evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the projects and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.
What will you do?
- Project Planning and Design: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Progress Monitoring and Stakeholder Communication: Track project progress, make necessary adjustments to ensure successful completion, and communicate project status, updates, and issues to management, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Risk and Budget Management: Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, manage project budgets, and ensure financial objectives are met.
- High Quality Deliverables: Ensure that project deliverables not only meet but exceed quality standards and stakeholders’ expectations. This involves conducting thorough reviews, implementing quality control processes, and continuously seeking ways to enhance the final output. By maintaining high standards, you will help build trust and satisfaction among stakeholders, ensuring that the projects contribute positively to the Group’s reputation and success.
- Project Documentation: Maintain thorough and detailed project documentation and reports. This includes recording all project activities, decisions, changes, and outcomes to ensure transparency and accountability. Proper documentation helps in tracking progress, facilitating communication among stakeholders, and providing valuable insights for future projects. It also ensures that all team members have access to the necessary information to perform their tasks effectively and that any issues can be quickly identified and addressed.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively seek and implement ways to enhance project management processes and methodologies. This involves staying updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices. Regularly review and analyze project outcomes to identify areas for improvement.
Key Requirements
- Must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management or a similar role. Prior consulting experience is desirable, but not a must.
- Experience of project management, team management, client relationship management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Familiarity with project documentations from project charter, statement / scope of work, requirements documentation, stakeholder register, change control register, activity list, quality metrics, risk register, issue log, and other similar documents.
- Familiarity with technology-enabled projects (including requirements definition and gathering, business-process mapping, delivery model, system/solution architecture design) is added advantage.
- Familiarity with projects delivery concepts like systems integration, systems implementation, sprint reviews, testing and release management.
- Excellent presentation, communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Outstanding knowledge and experience in project management best practices and methodologies.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- A valuable team player and able to work independently. Highly motivated, energetic, and reliable.
- Additional project management certifications (e.g., PMP, ScrumMaster, Agile Certified) will be a plus.
- Good command of both written and spoken English.
- Confident, proactive, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Must possess own transport and willing to travel as per assigned and when needed.
