  1. Make sure the webpage is open.

  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Role Purpose:

As the Legal Manager / Senior Manager, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal guidance to Finexus Group and its personnel across all internal and external legal matters. Your duties include ensuring all business operations comply with applicable laws and regulations, managing litigation and dispute resolution processes, and contributing to the development and implementation of legal strategies to protect and advance the company's best interests

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert legal advice and guidance to senior management and department heads on a wide range of legal issues affecting the company.
  2. Interpret laws, regulations, and contracts relevant to the company’s operations and ensure compliance.
  3. Review, draft, & negotiate all commercial contracts & agreements and other legal documents, protecting the company’s interests.
  4. You will provide legal guidance & advice on all areas of business operations to managers & members of the company.
  5. Develop standardized contract templates and guidelines for use across the organization.
  6. Ensure compliance with the applicable laws & regulations where the company operates.
  7. Stay updated with changes in laws and regulations where the company operates and advise the company on necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
  8. Manage & mitigate risks by implementing policies & procedures in relevant areas of company operations
  9. Manage & oversee technology Intellectual Property (IP) matters to protect the company’s assets & interests.
  10. Proactively identify areas of improvement & champion the implementation.
  11. Be the legal point-of-contact for external parties such as auditors, regulating bodies & partners.
  12. Manage any legal disputes, litigation & arbitration by ensuring company interests are protected. Collaborate with external legal counsel as necessary & represent the company in legal proceedings.
  13. Establish key relationships with authorities, consultants to address legal needs effectively.
  14. Lead, mentor and develop the legal team.

Job Requirement:

  • Academic Qualification: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in law from an accredited university is required. An overseas legal education background and admission to the Malaysian Bar are advantageous.
  • License / Certification: Certified Legal Manager
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience as a practicing lawyer or legal counsel, specializing in commercial and corporate law. A track record of at least 3 years within esteemed fintech companies or banking institutions is required
