As a Server Production Supervisor at Supermicro, you will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our server production line. Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership and Coaching: Oversee and coach production staff to enhance their skills, assign responsibilities, and ensure effective teamwork. Provide guidance and support to help employees meet production goals.
- Workflow and Scheduling: Organize and optimize workflow by preparing schedules, assigning tasks, and managing production timelines to ensure efficient operation and timely completion of production targets.
- Material and Quality Control: Maintain rigorous control over materials and inventory to support production needs. Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure that products meet Supermicro’s high standards.
- Production Oversight: Supervise all aspects of the assembly line, ensuring that assembly and testing processes are completed accurately and efficiently. Address any issues that arise during production.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in production processes and suggest and implement improvements to enhance overall productivity and operational effectiveness.
- Safety and Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety guidelines and company standards to maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, generate reports on performance metrics, and provide feedback to management on operational issues and areas for improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the electronics or computer industry, with a basic understanding of computer system assembly and mechanical knowledge.
- Skills: Familiarity with testing and inspection of computer or electronic components. Experience with mechanical assembly, cable routing, and adhering to quality standards is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
- Communication and Teamwork: Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
