Senior Project Engineer, Electric Train & Depot Equipment

Your Role:

• Manage, monitor, and ensure that the railway operator for the Kajang (KG) and Putrajaya (PY) Lines executes ET Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 maintenance in accordance with the O&M Agreement.
• Handle all warranty and obsolescence matters related to the KG and PY Lines, coordinating with the operator and OEM.
• Conduct asset performance audits to verify that maintenance practices adhere to the Operations and Maintenance manual.
• Perform weekly station inspections and monthly asset performance evaluations, generating detailed reports for management review.
• Participate in meetings with authorities, regulators, auditors, operators, and other departments to collaboratively address and resolve any operational issues.
• Prepare and deliver biweekly progress updates for Electric Train (ET) and DEMV operations.
• Review the operator's monthly reports, providing constructive commentary to ensure comprehensive information and document quality.
• Evaluate technical documentation related to third-party development, ensuring timely review of Application for Modification (AFM) submissions, and attend committee meetings to oversee compliance.
• Collaborate with the OEM and operator on Level 4 & Level 5 maintenance activities and system enhancements.
• Work with the operator, Work Package Contractor (WPC), and OEM to discuss technical design issues and maintenance needs for optimal system operation.
• Monitor and manage the application and renewal processes for licences and permits, including insurance.
• Ensure all work is executed following Safety, Health, and Environmental regulations.
• Analyze and report on Rapid Rail and Rapid Bus preventive and corrective maintenance efforts and CMMS data to relevant stakeholders.
• Develop and submit the annual maintenance budget for Electric Train (ET) and DEMV operations.
• Engage in the Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) and manage activities during the Defect Liability Period (DLP).
• Provide technical assistance to various internal teams, including Contract, System Assurance, CHESS, finance, commercial, and PY Line departments.
• Adhere to Quality and Environmental Management Systems, as well as Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) requirements.
• Execute responsibilities with minimal supervision, making informed decisions under the guidance of the Head of Unit.

Your Profile:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic and Communications Engineering, or other related fields. (Minimum CGPA of 3.00)
• Minimum 5 years working experience in Railway Systems.
• Demonstrated expertise and hands-on experience in a railway environment, particularly in the maintenance, engineering, construction, testing, and commissioning of railway systems.
• Proficient in managing railway system maintenance projects and operations.
• In-depth understanding of current design technologies and maintenance practices within railway systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Bahasa Melayu and English.
