Job Summary:
Sadhana Demolition & Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Operations to oversee the end-to-end management of multiple demolition projects from conception to successful delivery. The ideal candidate must possess a strong background in project management within the construction or demolition industry, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. This role demands a self-motivated leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and results-orientated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multiple demolition projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and reports.
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct site assessments and risk evaluations to identify and mitigate potential issues before they arise.
  • Present project updates and proposals to stakeholders, effectively communicating project status and addressing any concerns.
  • Mentor and support junior project managers and team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Utilize advanced computer skills to manage project management software and tools for tracking progress and performance metrics.
  • Manage procurement processes, including sourcing materials, equipment and labors, to ensure project requirements are met and executed efficiently.
  • Ensure projects comply with local and state regulations including building codes and environment standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management within the demolition or construction industry, with the capacity of managerial role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale/high-profile projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction and/or demolition processes, tools, materials and legal guidelines.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills, with proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Independent and proactive approach to problem-solving, with strong decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of local regulations and safety standards in demolition and construction.
  • Ability to travel to various project sites and own transportation is essential.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Able to work flexible hours and outstation.
