This position is based in Mantanani Island.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to ensuring that all Pastry is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the planning the Pastry menu, keeping in mind budget, and availability of seasonal ingredients.
  • Responsible to overseeing all Pastry operations.
  • Responsible to coordinate with kitchen staff, and assist them as required.
  • Responsible to trained staff to prepare and cook all the menu items.
  • Responsible for the stock of ingredients and equipment, and placing orders to replenish stock.
  • Responsible to ensure safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
  • Responsible to create and propose to the Management for the new recipes to keep the menu fresh.
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Culinary certification or degree from a Pastry / culinary school preferred.
  • 2-3 years Pastry experience required.
  • Familiarity with general Pastry kitchen equipment and appliances.
  • Must be able to communicate (read and write) in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Knowledge of Mandarin is an added advantage.
