About the Department

Role: Product Owner for Business Banking

This role will be responsible for design and deliver the product vision and road map of SME banking platforms in partnership with business and technology partners.

  • Design the product road map required to support the business growth and strategy of SME banking segments.
  • Gain in-depth understanding of business processes to articulate use-cases/user-stories for identified features/capabilities for the identified platforms.
  • Accountable for delivery of product build road map by ensuring that platform road maps prioritized against business are published regularly.
  • Maintain regular connect and engagement with key stakeholders periodically to refine platform; lead the team to work towards optimizing the product value based on the feedback.
  • Collaborate with technology team to deliver wireframes, user journeys, and product backlog, and other artifacts as needed to support technical design and development.
  • Manage modification and enhancements of existing products to address emerging business, user or regulatory needs.
  • UAT for on-going releases - Playing key role as UAT test manager to strategies UAT strategy, prepare UAT Test cases, UAT execution, UAT progress and escalated potential project risk/showstopper issues to appropriate escalation points in a timely manner. ​
  • 6-10 years of relevant banking and or consulting experience with Bachelor degree
  • Experience as a business lead/product owner in driving digital self-serve, engagement and transact capabilities implementation.
  • Strong business domain knowledge in business/Small Medium Enterprise (SME) banking or related financial industry (e.g Fintech, etc)
  • Good understanding of business/SME banking landscape in terms of products, services and typical banking applications
  • Familiar with change management processes and project management fundamentals
  • Experience in handling regional level programmes/projects
  • Display strong analytical, problem solving, communication and creative skills
  • Strategic forward thinking approach to challenge with outstanding communication, influencing, negotiating and persuasion skills
  • Resourceful team player, passionate, diligent and resilient individual with ability to thrive in ambiguity
