Assistant Finance Manager

Job Description :

Responsible for preparing financial statement, cash flow statement, balance sheet and profit and loss statements.

Budget/allocation status, other accounting schedules and reports on monthly/ quarterly/semi-annual/yearly basis for Management review and decision-making.

Verify payments prepared by subordinates to ensure only accuracy and compliance to the company's SOPs.

Assess tax working prepared by subordinates to ensure accuracy.

Prepare detailed analysis for Annual Tax Computation for submission to a tax agent and Inland Revenue Board (IRB) for timely tax filing to avoid penalties.

Oversee finance operations to facilitate year-end audit exercise to ensure timely submission of audited financial statements to SSM.
· Manage queries raised by auditors and tax consultants.

Control and manages day to day financial processes in support of the accounts which includes AP payments, monthly closing activities, general ledger, fixed assets, audit and taxation.

Monitoring of the cash flow; Forecast the incoming and outgoing, ensure liquidity and sufficient funds for working capital.

Assist in new system implementation, enhancement to system/work processes to improve the operation efficiency of the department/company.

Ensure compliance with bank covenants and tax requirements, including Malaysia SST, withholding taxes and custom duties.

Ensure proper maintenance of accurate, complete, and up to date accounting records of the company to ensure timely production of management accounts and statutory accounts in accordance with statutory regulatory requirements.

Liaise with auditors, tax agents, custom, regulatory authorities, and other parties to ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.

Collaborate and work closely with various departments, able to discuss, review, articulate and recommend suggestions/ideas that contributes towards greater success of the company and financial plans.

Verify all payments and ensure comply with the company’s policies

Any other duties as and when assigned from time to time

Job Requirements :

Degree in Finance / Accounting or professional qualification (MICPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

Required language(s): English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia

At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Preferably Managers specializing in Finance -General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.

Able to work independently, self-motivated, good inter-personal skills and leadership qualities.

Meticulous, able to work under pressure and able to multitask in a fast-paced working environment

Well knowledge in AutoCount software will be advantage.

Proficiency in English and Mandarin in both written and verbal.
