Job Responsibilities:
POSITION SUMMARY:

  • This managerial role shapes and manages the IT Strategy while working in partnership with the business executive leadership team and regional IT team. This managerial position will have business responsibility and input as part of the Executive Team.
  • Providing strong leadership to the SEA - IT team, you will have line management responsibility for implementation of the IT strategy, budget, recruitment, continued development and career management of your team. We believes in development a supply chain focused business supported by a service orientated IT organization.
  • In line with the business and regional IT, this role is responsible for the achievement of all IT projects delivered to time, budget and quality.

Job Duties:
General:

  • Build an effective partnership with business Executive Leadership team and Regional IT team to ensure projects and procedures are delivered consistently against agreed business driven IT roadmap on time, within budget and to the appropriate quality standard.
  • Regularly communicate to Executive Leadership on IT implementation progress; proactively manage all projects and escalation issues, as required.
  • Work in collaboration with Regional IT team to ensure IT strategic alignment.
  • Anticipate and understand future IT needs of business and translate overall business strategy in IT Plan in order to deliver IT services required by the business.
  • Maintain active contact and communication with key business stakeholders and provide advice and consulting to local management on business matters having IT implications, in order to achieve competitive advantage and facilitate business development.
  • Provide a challenging and highly professional IT Team environment that is focused and aligned to the business, customer and user needs.
  • Execute IT Plans by leading the deployment, localization and support of global/core business system solutions as well as the development and maintenance of local IT solutions in order to meet local business needs following global standards and procedures.
  • Ensure IT Services are delivered in an optimum way (time, cost effective, secure, stable, reliable and user-friendly, both from IT and user perspective) and proper service management processes are in place in order to maximize business efficiency.
  • Develop and enforce policy and procedures to ensure the protection of the Group’s IT assets and the integrity, security and privacy including implementation of disaster recovery plans and processes.
  • Ensure adherence to all policies and guidelines on security and compliance by leading the assessment and implementation of IT requirements in order to minimize risks regarding confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information as (to be) processed, stored, retained in information systems.
  • Ensure IT expenditures, including capital expenditures are properly documented, budgeted and approved in line with local and global requirements, and regularly carry out budget controls and cost projections during the year in order to ensure availability of funds and avoid budget overspending.
  • Lead and develop an adaptable, flexible and agile IT organization that attracts, develops and retains the best talent in order to deliver IT services required by business, currently and in the future.
  • Plan and manage the delivery of consulting and other services (including maintaining knowledge of current technology) by external and internal suppliers in order to ensure delivered service levels meets the business needs.
  • Evaluate alternatives, perform appropriate cost benefit analysis, and recommend solutions that maximize effectiveness and minimize costs commensurate with acceptable risks.
  • Maintain good contact with software, hardware and network-related vendors, consultants, and partners.
  • Monitors and reviews the performance of all IT outsourcing and supply contracts to ensure that agreed standards and performance criteria are met.
  • Facilitate communication between staff, management, vendors, and other technology resources within the organization.
  • Build strong alliances with key customers, supply chain stakeholders and IT organizations to ensure alignment with business needs with the objective of providing total business and IT solutions.
  • Evaluate and implement the systems that support end users in the productive use of computer hardware and software.
  • Communicate IT plans, policies and technology trends throughout the organization, including management groups and professional staff.
  • Responsible for people management activities including recruiting, development, performance management, compensation, organization and teaming
  • Supports and cooperates with internal and external auditors and ensuring audit findings are attended to.
  • Utilizes benchmark against best practices and effect proposal to close identified gaps.
  • `Other tasks/projects, as directed.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree graduate or above
  • Implementation experience and operating knowledge of one of the following:
  • JD Edwards / Other ERP Solutions
  • Power BI
  • Supply Chain industrial background preferred
  • Credible business, warehousing, distribution, transportation and operation awareness.


PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong strategic planning ability, translation of these into effective rollout/implementation plans and delivery
  • Strong track record of medium to large scale IT Project Management and delivery is critical
  • Strong ability to advocate and lead change
  • Has the ability to lead both IT resources and the overall organization in moving from nonintegrated legacy systems into an ERP environment
  • Innovative and out-of-the-box thinking capacity with sound reasoning skills
  • Ability to manage stressful situations without compromising acceptable professional standards of behavior.
