Job Summary:

  • To oversee all the technical aspects of Autoline, including upkeeping the machine and troubleshooting the mechanical, electrical, software, connectivity, or any automation system issues.
  • To improve Autoline productivity by reducing the downtime incidents.
  • To develop and implement Total Productive Maintenance program effectively.
  • Design, development, and implementation of advanced manufacturing systems and processes, such as MES system integration
  • To improve Autoline productivity by applying industrial/process engineering approaches
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production efficiency, improve quality, and enhance overall operational performance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and prepare corrective action on the Autoline machine.

Job Description:

  • Design and develop innovative manufacturing systems and processes aligned with Industry 4.0 principles, including smart factories, cyber-physical systems, and automation.
  • Implement and oversee the deployment of sensors, actuators, robotics, and other automation technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities and increase productivity.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including production engineers and maintenance team, to design and implement interconnected systems for real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and process optimization.
  • Manage machinery, including drawing and machine parameter settings.
  • Investigate machine problems and implement corrective actions to address inefficiencies and prevent recurrence.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to production teams on process-related matters, and lead troubleshooting activities when technical issues arise, coordinating with other functional teams to resolve them.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities, such as time studies, ergonomic process analysis, layout design, process flow, 4M analysis, and value stream mapping.
  • Design and prepare necessary equipment, tooling, and jigs to facilitate production activities.
  • Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), preventive maintenance (PM) schedules, process documentation, and best practices to ensure consistent and efficient operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by superiors.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess a minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics Engineering Technology or any related field.
  • Proven experience as an Engineer with focus on Industry 4.0, Automation, Maintenance, Process Engineering, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and programming languages used in Industry 4.0 applications, such as PLC programming, Control Centre, CAD software and data analysis tools.
  • Proficiency in utilizing digital technologies and tools, such as IoT platforms, cloud computing, data analytics software, and automation systems.
  • Knowledge in 5S, Kaizen and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of Industry 4.0 principles, including digitalization, connectivity, automation, and data analytics.
  • Experience in designing and implementing interconnected systems and integrating various technologies to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems and processes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive and innovative mindset, with a passion for exploring new technologies and driving continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge in Total Productive Maintenance, ISO 9001 Quality Management System
  • Must be willing to work shifts and according to the duty roster if necessary.
