Job Summary

Responsible for bringing business related to corporate events and banquet functions and organizing/coordinating the functions to clients’ satisfaction.

Specific of the Job

1. Directs solicitation calls on banquets, rooms and corporate events accounts on behalf of the Resort.

2. Contacts possible clients based on trace-files and offers banquet services for their forthcoming functions.

3. Makes at least 6 sales calls a day (Monday to Friday).

4. Collects from newspapers, magazines and other files information regarding possible sources of business.

5. Compile and submit a daily Sales Report Summary to the Assistant Director of Sales by 5:30pm daily.

6. Initiates goals, reports, requisitions, maintenance orders and other inter-office memorandum.

7. Attends to inquiries and reservations or visits prospective clients at site or outside catering.

8. Prompt response to all inquiries or correspondence from clients and prospects.

9. Confers with clients desiring banquet or catering services, analyses requirements, suggests type of service and quotes prices.

10. Follow-up on all administrative aspects of banquet and sales e.g. confirmation letters, letters of undertaking, etc.

11. Recommends a suitable banquet package to the clients.

12. Prepares proposals and contracts for prospective clients.

13. Maintains and monitors mailing list of all major clients.

14. Drafts events orders for forthcoming functions.

15. Coordinate with various Department Heads on the requirements committed to your clients.

16. Services banquet accounts by performing activities such as:

a ensuring that all necessary arrangements are made for the function.

b. ensuring that everything is right and in order during functions.

c. entertaining guests during functions.

d. sending “thank-you” notes to clients.

17. Maintains all kinds of client relations by conducting regular banquets and corporate contacts by telephone and correspondence.

18. Achieve the sales target set by Management.

19. Help in the development of special packages and submits them to the Assistant Director of Sales for approval.

20. Keep all banquet sales, rooms and corporate events records up-to-date.

21. Coordinates with Finance and Accounts Departments in collecting and signing bills.

22. Prepares reports on special incidents, problems or complaints that may arise during functions.

23. Perform any duties that may be assigned by the Asst. Director of Sales from time to time.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month

Experience:
