- Managing supplier relationships: Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers
- Driving cost savings: Ensuring the procurement process is cost-effective and efficient
- Mitigating risk: Identifying and reducing risks in the procurement process
- Maintaining compliance: Ensuring the procurement process complies with all relevant regulations
- Collaborating with other departments: Working with other departments to ensure the procurement process meets the organization's needs
The head of procurement, also known as the head of sourcing, is a senior management role that oversees the procurement process for an organization. The head of procurement must have strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with all level. Must have excellent leadership skills and be able to collaborate with multiple business units.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, , or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPSM, CPM) is a plus.
- Good in SQL is a plus
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in leadership.
- Experience in handling the procurement and purchasing team of a Project Engineering is advantage
- Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations, cost reduction, and strategic sourcing.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
- Can speak & write in Mandarin, English and Malay is a plus
