Job Summary

To contribute to Gamuda Land’s overall vision, corporate targets and business plans by sourcing and securing JV partnerships and/or execution of land sales; with a focus on healthcare, education, hospitality and retail/commercial players (larger scale deals such as mall operators rather than individual tenants) that will value-add to Gamuda Land’s townships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review underlying objectives, needs, targets and challenges for each township development and work with Department Head and Project Stakeholders to align on direction and requirements;
  • Evaluate market ecosystem vs business needs and assist to formulate strategies to meet the required targets and objectives
  • Review and improve processes to enable speed and quality of partnership engagements;
  • Sourcing of new leads and prospects, either directly or through institutions and agencies, and maintaining an active leads list;
  • On-ground networking & engagement; focusing on healthcare and hospitality players (although this may extend to other industries should the need arise);
  • Working with Finance, Planning & Design Units and other departments to review design elements and financial feasibility of a deal;
  • Research on industry trends, potential partners and due diligence on said prospective partners
  • Deal negotiations, deal structuring, review of Head of Terms and contractual clauses for any MOU/JVA/HMA/TA/SPA document, and overall seeing through the execution of the deal end to end;
  • Assist in preparation of investor proposals, deal analysis, FS, Management Approval and BOD papers
  • Guiding and assisting junior team members where relevant to the job at hand and facilitate a healthy culture of learning and open communication
