We are currently looking for an Accountant to join our team. This position will be acquiring direction and reporting to the GM and Finance Controller of the company.

The position will be located at 1 Sentral, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and it is easy to get to by public transportation.

Main Responsibilities:

Implement and/or Setup Process & System deployment, Controls and Compliance:

  • Support to design new GIMS processes and workflow, implement new ERP system.
  • Align internal controls to ensure compliance with WSM process.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns.


General Ledger & Financial Reporting:

  • Maintain the general ledger and oversee day-to-day accounting activities to ensure a proper interaction and flow of information with other departments.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow management.
  • Monitor account receivables, reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Ensuring correct and timely payments to suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with WMS policies, accounting principles, IFRS standards and regulatory requirements.


Financial Analysis & Budgeting:

  • Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with business leader to develop and monitor budgets, and forecasts.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in the accounting field.
  • Accounting professional certification is required.
  • Exposure in IFRS (added advantage)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skill.
  • Knowledgeable in SAP is preferred.
  • Fluency in English in preferred
