Manager, Planner/Scheduler (Development)

Job Overview:

  • Responsible to develop, maintain, and monitor the company’s Master Development Programs including project schedules to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Responsible to develop and disseminate project planning/scheduling templates, standards, tools, and best practices
  • Collaborate with Development Heads, Project Managers, team members, and relevant stakeholders to develop detailed schedules, track progress, and manage changes.
  • Responsible to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget through regular reporting and updating.
  • Provides attention to detail in monitoring the Master Development Program and project timelines (Plan Vs Actual)
  • Exhibits good understanding of property development phases and ability to prioritize tasks/activities based on project objectives
  • Build and maintain a good rapport and healthy relationship with the relevant stakeholders

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the company’s Master Development Programs encompassing the project schedules, launching, and delivery timelines from initial planning stages up to completion and handover
  • Utilize agreed project management software for scheduling and establishment of Development Programs and Gantt Charts clearly defining project tasks, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies and ensuring accurate and up-to-date data entry
  • Monitor and track progress against established timelines to ensure adherence to deadlines and for regular reporting and updating to Development Heads and Senior Management Team
  • Adjust schedules as necessary to reflect progress or address changes/delays based on inputs by relevant stakeholders
  • Identify and highlight potential delays for corrective actions to be implemented to keep projects on track
  • Effectively communicate Development Program updates and changes to relevant stakeholders
  • Regularly generate reports on project progress, status, and schedule performance
  • Champion the development and widespread dissemination of project planning/scheduling templates, standards, tools, and best practices to homogenize the project delivery process and elevate project monitoring/tracking effectiveness
  • Maintain accurate records of project schedules, updates, and related documents
  • Ensure documentation is complete and accessible for future reference and audits
  • Ensure that scheduling practices adhere to organizational standards and best practices
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of schedules
  • Collaborate with interdivisional project team members and relevant stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, construction management, or a related field
  • Minimum 5-8 years of working experience preferably in project planning/scheduling in property development or construction
  • Microsoft Project Certification and software application and familiarity with project management concepts
  • Proficiency in using other software such as Primavera P6, or other relevant project management platforms will be an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices
  • Familiarity with collaborative tools for effective team communication
  • Stay updated on industry-standard project management software and tools for continuous improvement.
  • Must exhibit strong interpersonal and collaboration skills for effective project coordination
