Science Relief Teacher

Job Overview:

We are an International School seeking a dedicated and adaptable Relief Teacher to join our team to provide 3-month coverage for our IGCSE Primary and Lower Secondary Science classes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science education, excellent classroom management skills, and the ability to engage and inspire young learners. This role requires flexibility, the ability to quickly adapt to the school's teaching environment, and the capability to maintain continuity in the students' learning process during the absence of the regular teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver science lessons to IGCSE Primary and Lower Secondary students, following the established curriculum and lesson plans.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the varying needs and learning styles of students.
• Ensure that students understand and can apply scientific concepts in their work.
• Manage classroom behavior to create a positive and productive learning environment.
• Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and assignments.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience for students.
• Provide continuity of learning by following the absent teacher's lesson plans and maintaining classroom routines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, or a related field.
• Teaching certification or relevant teaching experience in IGCSE science curriculum.
• Experience teaching at the primary and/or lower secondary levels is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
• Flexibility and adaptability to quickly adjust to different classroom settings.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: RM70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
