We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the interior design sector, particularly in fit-out projects and residential design. You will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring value for money, and assisting with the financial aspects of design projects from inception to completion.

- Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for fit-out and residential design projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to inform project planning.
- Monitor project progress, managing costs, and ensuring projects are completed within budget.
- Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to provide cost-related advice and support.
- Review and analyze tender documents and contracts, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best prices and terms.
- Prepare and submit interim and final accounts, ensuring all financial records are maintained.
- Collaborate with project managers and design teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and address any financial discrepancies.
- Stay updated on market trends, material costs, and regulations affecting the construction and interior design sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the interior design or fit-out sector.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proficient in cost estimation software and MS OJice Suite.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of local market trends and supplier networks in Malaysia.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes and regulations.
- Experience in residential projects and an understanding of client needs in this sector.
- Ability to converse in Mandarin and connections with vendors based in China is a plus point.
