Job Description:

Provision of day-to-day management oversight of the Engineering function of the COMPANY business. Responsible for ensuring that appropriate and relevant business frameworks (strategies, policies/procedures, performance metrics, etc.) are implemented and maintained and that adequate resources are assigned to achieve the business objectives.

Responsible for ensuring the following functions/capabilities are provided:

Engineering

  • An engineering support function including responsibility on Technical Authority system
  • A robust Management of Change process is in place and that all critical platform documents and drawings are maintained in a current as-built condition.
  • Anticipation of mature asset life expectancy and implementation of life extension strategy, polices, procedures and action plans while highlighting potential critical issues.
  • Working as part of the engineering and responsible for multidiscipline engineering deliverables timely.
  • Identifying, scoping and managing modification of works on the facilities.
  • To ensure that all engineering data and documents are made available as requested and required by other teams.
  • Management of 3rd party engineering support contracts to ensure performance meets technical, budgetary and schedule targets of the Project / Asset and output meets quality and safety criteria as detailed by the company's policies.
  • Responsible to review and provide engineering inputs to all requested data such Risk Based Inspection (RBI) assessment, Fit for Service (FFS) assessments, and any Material Selection Studies, or any Asset Integrity related assessments on operational assets and development projects.
  • Deep knowledge and proficient in all of the following areas process, production, design engineering, risk assessment, and safety.


Experience

  • At least 15 years of oil and gas experience in engineering in both operational and project environments, with at least 10 years in a management/supervisory role in engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in oil and gas asset rejuvenation programmes including brownfield modifications in an offshore environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of HSE practices in the offshore oil and gas industry, including familiarity with Process Safety Management, Safety Case practices and incident investigation.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Process or a relevant engineering field
  • Registered Professional Engineer with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM)
  • Membership of a recognised industry body (e.g. IChemE, IMechE, NACE etc)
