The IT Manager for the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry will oversee all IT operations. The role will ensure seamless integration of technology with restaurant operations, manage IT infrastructure, and provide timely support to ensure that all systems, especially POS systems, function optimally. He/She will report to the General Manager with dotted line reporting to the Group Chief Information Officer

Main responsibilities shall among others include the following:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of point-of-sale (POS) systems, digital menu boards, Self-Ordering Kiosks, Drive Thru Systems, CCTV, network and other restaurant related technologies.
  • Manage and optimize cloud services, databases, third party integrations and IT systems for efficiency and security.
  • Oversee and troubleshoot and resolve POS system issues in a timely manner to minimize disruption to restaurant operations
  • Manage ticketing system of reported issues and ensuring tickets are closed in timely manner
  • Monitor and provide technical support to restaurant staff, helping them understand and use POS systems effectively
  • Lead IT-related projects such as system upgrades, software rollouts, and new store technology installations
  • Responsible on IT budget, monitoring expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Collaborate with external IT vendors and service providers as necessary
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in the fast-food industry
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the IT team, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Ensure and assist all IT systems and data are aligned for timely and accurate month-end financial reporting.
  • Perform other IT-related development as required
  • Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and apply timely updates to prevent security breaches

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in IT field, preferably in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience in managing POS systems, with expertise in Xilnex or related systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of data security and compliance standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to supervise and lead a team of IT professionals.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen understanding of the complexities of inventory-related and finance processes.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, especially those about inventory management and financials.
  • A proactive attitude and a strong commitment to providing excellent IT support.
  • IT certifications or training related to POS systems is a plus.
