Job Description / Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Lead on-site project activities, ensuring adherence to engineering designs, project plans, and safety regulations.
  • Technical Support: Provide expert guidance to contractors, addressing technical challenges and ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with project stakeholders and engineering disciplines to ensure the successful integration of all project components.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure all work meets project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Problem Solving: Identify potential issues early on and implement effective solutions to minimize project delays and maintain budgetary control.
  • Reporting and Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with the senior manager at the head office, providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and recommended adjustments.
  • Requirement:

    • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
    • 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing or chemical industry, preferably in the palm oil industry.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and mechanical design software (AutoCAD), along with a strong understanding of mechanical systems, codes, and regulations.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across project stakeholders.
    • Strong commitment to quality standard and safety compliance.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
    • Be able to lead and have hands-on experience at ground level.
    • Willing to be based at Lahad Datu, Sabah
