Job responsibilities:

Department Setup:

  • Responsible for setting up and managing the Quality Department at the Penang factory (including personnel recruitment, equipment procurement, preparation of operational documents, inspection area planning, etc.).

Supplier Management:

  • Participate in supplier development, evaluation, selection, and re-evaluation processes.
  • Plan and implement supplier management strategies to ensure the effectiveness of their production processes and operational outcomes.
  • Analyze and provide feedback on supplier quality issues identified in incoming material inspections, production processes, and shipment inspections, and take effective measures for improvement.
  • Strive to cultivate suppliers to continuously improve their QDC (Quality, Delivery Time, Cost) and align with the company’s development strategy, ensuring mutual growth with the company.

Incoming, In-process, and Outgoing Inspections:

  • Responsible for inspecting, evaluating, labeling, system entry, and analyzing inspection data for incoming materials from suppliers and communicating the results to them.
  • Monitor and measure the production and shipment processes within the factory according to process plans, quality control, 5S, labor protection, and equipment maintenance standards. Record and analyze monitoring data and share it with relevant departments (e.g., production, FAE debugging).
  • Collaborate with departments such as warehouse, purchasing, and production to continuously improve work agility, effectiveness, and efficiency.
  • Responsible for provide training to subordinates to continuously improve their ideology and work skills.
  • Responsible for the proper storage and maintenance of measurement tools, inspection fixtures, and auxiliary tools used in the job.
  • Responsible for managing the 5S of the assigned area.

Job Requirements:

Education: Diploma or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or Polymer Materials.

Work Experience: At least 5 years of quality-related work experience in the mechanical or electromechanical equipment industry (experience with assembly processes is a plus), with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in quality management. Candidates with experience in the optical communication or semiconductor industries will be given preference.

Technical Knowledge: Familiar with the ISO9001 Quality Management System, the Five Quality Core Tools, the Seven Basic Tools of Quality, and 8D problem-solving. Strong data analysis skills are required.

Personal Qualities: Good personal character, prioritizing public over private interests. Must align with company culture, possess a strong motivation for learning and achievement, with some planning, persuasion, and influence abilities. Excellent teamwork skills, and logical and risk-based thinking are required.

Language Proficiency: Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
