Micron Global Quality (GQ) team is searching for a motivated and experienced individual contributor joining the Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) Quality and Reliability Assurance (QRA) team. This engineer will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and reliability of Datacenter solid-state drive (SSD) in various product phases including New Product Introduction (NPI), Qualification and High Volume Manufacturing (HVM).

The Senior NVMQRA SSD Engineer primarily supports and coordinates the NPI and qualification activities:

  • setup datacenter SSD test station
  • validate firmware
  • verify test script
  • generate training package
  • conduct training

Activities carried out by this engineer during high volume production phase:

  • setup required tester and validate test script to initiate ongoing reliability testing
  • supervise the ongoing and outgoing reliability performance of SSD products
  • compile regular reliability reports for customer review
  • provide datacenter SSD electrical failure analysis supports

The crucial responsibilities of this engineer in failure investigation are including:

  • replicate and validate the failure
  • perform electrical failure analysis
  • chair materials review board meeting to drive for path forward
  • coordinate the root cause finding
  • collaborate with the respective functional teams to improve SSD quality and reliability

This engineer also serves as a key stakeholder in datacenter SSD excursion:

  • establish risk assessment plan
  • propose containment scope
  • run affected lot trace
  • coordinate risk mitigation
  • assess the fix efficiency.

Requirements

  • 7-15 years of technical experience in semiconductor industry.
  • Degree or master in engineering (E&E, Telecommunication, Microelectronics, Control Systems or Computer).
  • Candidate with extensive hands-on experience in reliability testing/EFA is an advantage.
  • Participate in weekly late night (Asia time) meeting to address datacenter SSD qualification issues to Global Quality QRA, hardware, firmware and development teams.
  • Able to support EFA/hands-on work in Micron Batu Kawan and occasionally supervise the datacenter SSD assembly in Micron Perai
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in key computer applications such as Excel, Word, Power Point, Statistical tools, JIRA and Confluence.
  • Possess basic knowledge of machine learning.
  • Programming skills including C++, Python, Linux, etc.
