  • Develop and implement the procurement plans and strategies through evaluation of operational requirements, resource optimization and adoption of best practices to sustain operational excellence and achieve maximum value savings. This includes developing and sustaining strategic relationships with critical supplier in order to expand existing opportunities for value savings and secure a broader supply base.
  • Execute and implement procurement activities to provide cost effective, efficient and timely support for contracting, purchasing, inventory management, in line with company business strategy, plan and objective to safeguard business operations leading to sustainable growth.
  • Execute the implementation of performance review process for the procurement operation through inspection and audit (compliance assurance), provide business solutions for gap closure and identification of best practices and lesson learnt. Drive compliance assurance plans to ensure transparency and integrity in procurement activities through continuous performance management and adoption of good governance practices to sustain operational excellence and safeguard company’s image.
  • Ensure efficient conduct and operations of Tender Committee through proper planning, control and scheduling of Tender Committee meetings and effective secretarial services to ensure timely acquisition of the required materials and services and compliance to policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure that everything is above board.
  • Ensure all tender related documents are properly protected, controlled and maintained through proper recording, monitoring of documents movement, and supervision of restricted areas to ensure maximum security, confidentiality and integrity of the whole process.
  • Provide guidance and advice to Tender Committee in relation to contracting strategies Terms & Condition, bidding process, and technical and commercial evaluation to ensure compliance to company’s Tendering & Contracting procedures and regulatory requirements to safeguard company's interest and reputation and integrity in the overall tendering process.
  • Drive the implementation of contractors’ performance review process for the awarded contracts and identification of best practices and lesson learnt, and monitor contractors’ performance based on the stipulated terms and conditions, and act as the intermediate in handling disputes, claims, negotiations and appeals initiated by contracting parties, to ensure smooth and proper implementation of the contracts awarded.
  • Initiate the establishment and development of procurement procedures, guidelines and systems to ensure consistency in practice and uphold confidentiality, integrity and sensitivity of information related to the procurement and contracting activities.
