We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing accounts payable, receivable, general ledger maintenance, and support the overall accounting functions of the company.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable (AP):

  • Ensure accurate coding and timely payment of invoices.
  • Prepare and manage petty cash reimbursements and assist with electronic payments.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies with vendors.

Accounts Receivable (AR):

  • Follow up on outstanding receivables.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate records of collections.
  • Assist in preparing aging reports and monitor overdue accounts for follow-up actions.

Bank Reconciliation:

  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure alignment of financial records with bank statements.
  • Investigate discrepancies and report any issues to the Direct Superior.

General Ledger Maintenance:

  • Assist in maintaining the general ledger, including data entry of financial transactions.
  • Support the preparation of journal entries and ensure all entries are accurate and timely.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and accounting software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willing to stay in Johor, Malaysia.
