Key Responsibilities:
- Inspection & Compliance:
- Conduct regular inspections of vessels, machinery, and equipment to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
- Monitor compliance with international maritime regulations such as the International Safety Management (ISM) Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, and other relevant regulations.
- Ensure all maintenance and operational procedures comply with company and regulatory standards.
- Quality Assurance:
- Oversee quality control processes for repairs, maintenance, and construction of marine vessels.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality assurance in marine operations.
- Work closely with shipyard and engineering teams to resolve any quality-related issues during vessel repair and maintenance.
- Safety & Risk Management:
- Identify potential safety risks and hazards during marine operations and recommend corrective actions.
- Participate in safety audits and drills to ensure preparedness and compliance with safety protocols.
- Ensure proper documentation and certification of safety equipment.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and document any non-conformance or deficiencies found during inspections.
- Maintain records of quality checks, certifications, and compliance audits.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies during inspections and audits, ensuring timely responses to findings.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Suggest improvements to existing processes and procedures to enhance operational quality and efficiency.
- Participate in training and development programs to keep up-to-date with the latest marine regulations and standards.
- Communication & Coordination:
- Collaborate with internal teams including operations, engineering, and maintenance to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality output.
- Communicate with vendors, contractors, and third-party inspectors regarding quality requirements and compliance.
