Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Compounding, Assistant Manager at Kossan Rubber Industries Bhd in Kapar. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to pharmacy practices, prescription management, providing customer service, and facilitating immunization processes.

Qualification:

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry/Polymer Science or equivalent.

Experience:

Min 5 years’ hand-on working experience in related field with minimum 3 years at managerial level.

Experience in manufacturing field with ISO compliance and regulatory environment.

Other Personal Capabilities:

  • Strong leadership skills, result orientated, good problem solving and reporting skills, analytical skills, critical thinking skills and good communication skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. To ensure the department is running in its optimum condition via effective quality activities planning, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling.
  2. Planning, forecast & report on stock level and usage of all the latex, compounding chemicals and trigger order.
  3. Ensure proper preparation of chemical dispersion and latex compounding with correct chemical composition added.
  4. Update and maintained formulation correctly. Liaise with QA/R&D on testing changed in material, formulation and process.
  5. Liaise and plan with Production Manager/Factory Manager for daily compounded latex, coagulant solution and cleaning solution.
  6. Planning, forecast & report on stock level and usage of all the latex, compounding chemicals and trigger order. Coordinate and store latex accordingly to plants consumption and product allocation.
  7. Ensure documentation, records and testing methods are meeting ISO standard.
  8. Execution of all the documentation and testing method are complying with the ISO/ASTM/SMG/AS specification.
  9. Ensure proper preparation of chemical dispersion and latex compounding with correct chemical composition added.
  10. Ensure documentation, records and testing methods are meeting ISO 9001 ,13485 and customer specifications.
  11. Manage and plan compounding activities to ensure chemical and latex is being prepared on time, meeting quality and cost objectives.
  12. Any other task and/or assigned duties as required by the management.
