Job Description
ADMINISTRATIVE:
1. Draft and review various legal documents for Legal Manager/ Board/ Registrar to ensure compliance with legal requirements;
- Liaise with external solicitors and regulatory bodies, when required with the knowledge of the Board.
- Research legal issues and render general advice on registrants for recommendations for the Legal Manager/ Board / Registrar.
- Conduct research in Board disciplinary hearings and charges for breach of laws / rules by registrants.
- Draft matters such as writing notices, circulars, charges, and any amendments of BOVAEP guidelines / standards for eventual publications.
- Liaising with registrants on behalf of the Board where necessary.
- Attend and assist with the presentation of cases at disciplinary hearings.
GENERAL:
1. Undertake other tasks assigned by the Registrar or Senior Manager.
2. Ensure proper record keeping and filing of documents and maintain strict confidentiality.
3. Maintain proper conduct and staff etiquette and execute all functions and responsibilities with the highest level of honesty and integrity.
4. Always uphold the image of BOVAEP in high esteem.
Job Requirements
1. Candidate must possess Degree in Law.
2. Computer literate. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Outlook at etc)
3. Required Language(s): English and Bahasa Malaysia
4. Able to work independently.
5. Able to multitask and good team player

The setup and operation of this Board is governed by the provision of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers Act 1981. Its primary function is to regulate the Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers practising in Malaysia.
