Cafe Coordinator

You will be responsible for creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for patrons in a cafe setting. You will provide exceptional customer service, offer guidance on cigar selection, maintain cleanliness and organization, and ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations. Note that we are a halal cafe.

Key responsibilities:

1) Customer Service:

• Greet and welcome customers, ensuring a positive and friendly atmosphere
• Assist customers in choosing cigars based on their preferences and provide recommendations
• Offer suggestions for cigar and beverage pairings to enhance the customer's experience.

2) Cigar Sales and Operations:

• Maintain a well-stocked inventory of cigars, accessories and related products
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed, ensuring availability of popular brands and varieties
• Handle cash transactions, process payments, and maintain accurate records.

3) Cafe Maintenance and Organization:

• Keep the lounge are clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times
• Arrange and maintain seating areas, ensuring comfort and convenience for customers

4) Compliance and Safety:

• Understand and adhere to local and state regulations regarding the sale and consumption of tobacco products
• Verify customer age and enforce age restrictions for purchasing cigars and accessing the cafe area.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines, including proper ventilation and fire safety measures.

Job Qualifications:

• SPM or equivalent
• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a hospitality or retail environment
• Experienced in IT
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with customers effectively
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and maintaining accurate records
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From RM1,500.00 per month
