Overview

Responsible for independent oversight over risk-taking activities of Global Markets in accordance with Management direction on tolerable/acceptable limits and take prompt action to address non-compliance, as well as monitoring key traded risks to be in compliance with both internal polices/procedures as well as regulatory guidelines. This role will be reporting to Head, Global Markets Risk.

Job responsibilities

  • Responsible for monitoring key risk and compliance polices/procedures as well as regulatory guidelines, as well as take prompt action to address non-compliance.
  • Ensure timeliness on market risk reporting to stakeholders and management.
  • Formulate and review of risk policies and SOPs to ensure all activities in Global Markets are in conformity with market best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Perform stress test on market and credit counterparty risk to measure loss vulnerability of Global Markets portfolios under stressed market conditions.
  • Perform independent validation of models used in the pricing and risk measurement of Treasury instruments for Global Markets.
  • Spearhead the market and counterparty credit risk surveillance controls and compliance in infrastructure facilitation and improvement.

  • Malaysian Citizen

Education/Qualification

  • Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or other related fields.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3-7 years’ experience
  • Preferably with at least 1-5 years’ experience in a banking institution in traded risk management or in a dealing capacity.
  • Experience in quantitative analysis, python, VBA coding will be an added advantage.
