MAIN ACTIVITIES/ TASKS:
1. Sales Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and motivate a team of container shipping sales executives, providing coaching, mentoring, and support to achieve sales goals.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company objectives, focusing on exceeding lifting targets and maximizing revenue generation.
- Establish clear performance metrics and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to track individual and team sales performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to help team members improve their skills and achieve their full potential.
2. Strategic Sales Planning and Analysis:
- Analyze industry data and market trends to identify new business opportunities and develop effective sales strategies.
- Monitor industry load factors (capacity utilization) and adjust sales tactics to optimize container utilization and profitability.
- Regularly update market intelligence on competitor activity, pricing trends, and customer needs.
3. Customer Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring their satisfaction and continued business.
- Foster positive customer rapport through effective communication, entertainment activities, and addressing their specific needs.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential target accounts with high revenue potential.
4. Sales Performance and Reporting:
- Analyze and monitor daily sales productivity metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare regular sales reports summarizing team performance, industry trends, and challenges encountered.
- Develop and maintain a sales pipeline to forecast future sales and ensure a steady flow of new business opportunities.
