Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Human Resources Intern at Kossan Rubber Industries Bhd in Kapar. The HR Intern will be responsible for assisting with HR management, policies, employee benefits, personnel management, and other HR-related tasks on a day-to-day basis.

Educational Background
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Coursework or knowledge in HR, labor laws, organizational behavior, or business management is advantageous.
Basic Knowledge of HR Functions
  • Familiarity with HR principles and practices, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations (even basic understanding is beneficial)

Job responsibilities for an HR Intern:

1. Recruitment Support
  • Assist with posting job vacancies on job boards, career websites, and social media platforms.
  • Screen resumes and applications, and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Participate in interview processes as needed and assist with candidate communication and feedback.
2. Onboarding & Orientation
  • Help prepare onboarding materials, including welcome packages and paperwork.
  • Assist in conducting employee orientation sessions to familiarize new hires with company culture and policies.
  • Facilitate new hire check-ins and support the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition.
3. Employee Records Management
  • Update and maintain employee files and HR databases with new hire information, terminations, and changes.
  • Ensure that all employee records are accurate, up-to-date, and maintained according to company policy and legal standards.
4. HR Policy and Documentation
  • Support HR staff in documenting, updating, and organizing HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the creation of employee handbooks, training materials, and internal HR forms.
5. Learning & Development
  • Assist in coordinating training sessions, workshops, and learning events.
  • Help gather employee feedback on training programs and track attendance and participation.
6. Employee Engagement & Events
  • Support HR with planning and executing employee engagement events, team-building activities, and company gatherings.
  • Assist in creating and distributing employee surveys to gauge job satisfaction and engagement.
7. Administrative Tasks
  • Provide general administrative support such as filing, scanning, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Respond to routine HR queries and manage HR communications like emails, announcements, and memos.
